0 A.D. Alpha 22 Venustas recently released, is the twenty-second alpha version of 0 A.D, a free, open-source real-time strategy ancient warfare game. This release comes with new features and bug fixes. Before we proceed on how to install 0 A.D. Alpha 22 Venustas on Ubuntu, lets take a quick look at some of the new features introduced.
0 A.D. Alpha 22 Venustas Top New Features
- Added are handcrafted models, animations as well as textures, to replace the lower quality arts
- The original soundtracks “Tale of Warriors” as well as “Sunrise” were extended
- There is now configuration-free multiplayer hosting of matches to the mass of players. This features comes with a new “STUN” option, hence enabling most players to start a match without any prior internet router configuration
- You now have a Relic Game mode - The team that captures and manages to keep all relics for a manually set amount of time wins the match
- Introduced is Aura and Heal Range Visualization, hence players can now judge the effect range and healing abilities
- Additional twelve new maps, including scripted enemies, rising water and a tutorial added
- Added is Espionage Technology, Team Bonuses and Hero Auras
- Petra AI Diplomacy and Attack Strategies also added
- Summary Screen Graphs now shows the chronology of all military and economic game statistics
- New controls added to the Cinema Path Editing
- You can now keep up with friends and locate them in-game with the Buddy System
