Screenshoter is a tiny utility that lets you save your screenshots directly by pressing the Print Screen button. It is a real time saver as it saves a lot of time that was generally wasted while creating screenshots. Screenshoter is a simple, tiny and a portable utility which is available absolutely free of cost. It requires no installation.
To get started you need to download this tiny software and then open the main EXE file and that's all, from now whenever you will hit the print screen button, an image will be automatically saved at a location. The location can be changed and a custom folder can also be chosen. By default the naming is done by numbers but you can change this setting to date and time or you can make the program ask you every time about the name of the image. There are three capturing modes in the software:
- Full Screen: If enabled the software will capture a full screen image.
- Window: In this mode, the software will only capture the active window.
- Region: In this mode the software will capture only a pre-defined region or a pre-defined area of the screen.
To take a screenshot you can click on the big 'Screenshot' button on the Screenshoter window or you can simply press the [Print Screen] button. The software can save images in three different formats that are PNG, JPEG and BMP. You can even choose the image quality as per your requirements and the size allowances. The software also gives you an option to include the mouse cursor to screenshots but if you don't want any cursor in screenshots then you can disable this feature too. Every screenshot captured with this software is also copied to clipboard but you can even disable this feature if you don't want any screenshot to be copied to clipboard.
The Screenshoter window always stays on top but you can change this setting too. Moreover you can enable the compact mode and minimize the software to system tray.
Overall, the software is a good one and a must have for those who often take screenshots on their PC. It is a good time saver and now you don't need to copy screenshots to an image editing utility and the save it as an image. The software is having a very simple and easiest to operate user interface and moreover it is customizable to a very good extent. It makes the process of screenshot taking a breeze.
