AeroWeather Automatically Changes Windows 7 Aero Color Based On Temperature

AeroWeather Automatically Changes Windows 7 Aero Color Based On Temperature

Microsoft has introduced a new feature in Windows 7 to automatically change desktop background at pre-defined time interval. For instance, you can configure Windows to set new picture as desktop background every 1, 10, or 30 minutes.

For some reason, Windows 7 doesn't offer an option to automatically change the Aero color, the color that appears on taskbar and window borders, based on desktop background color. While there are no concrete solutions available to automatically change the Aero color to match the desktop background picture, it's now possible to automatically change the Aero color as the weather changes.

AeroWeather is an awesome piece of software for Vista and Windows 7 that automatically changes the Aero color as the weather temperature changes.

AeroWeather works fine with Vista and Windows 7 in Aero mode. Once installed, it sites in the system notification area and changes the Aero color based on weather. An option is also available to change the Aero color based on weather condition. That is, when this feature is enabled, AeroWeather sets grey color if it's cloudy outside, blue if it's sunny and white if it's snowing in your area.

The only problem with this tool is that it you need to enter a valid US zip code to set your location. In other words, you can't set the location by entering the location name. So, this tool works great only for US users. If you are from a country other than the US, simply type 10005 (New York zip code) in the location box and hit Validate button. This tool is only for select Windows 7 editions that support Aero.

Key features:

# Temperature-based color changes

# Condition-based color changes (grey if it's cloudy, blue if it's sunny, white if it's snowing, dark grey if it's raining, etc)

# Night mode to automatically dim the Aero color
