Doh! Something went wrong error in Microsoft Teams

To solve Doh! Something went wrong error in Microsoft Teams, follow these steps-

  1. Clear Credential Manager for Microsoft Teams
  2. Switch internet connection

To know the steps in detail, read on.

1] Clear Credential Manager for Microsoft Teams

The Credential Manager saves all the login credentials or usernames and passwords in one place. If your system has some issues with the Credential Manager, there is a chance of getting such a problem while signing in to the Microsoft Teams. You need to clear all the Microsoft Teams related entries from the Credential Manager and sign back in.

To do that, open up the Windows Credential Manager on your Windows 10 PC. You can search for “credential manager” in the Taskbar search box and open the respective result. After that, switch to Windows Credentials and expand all the lists to find out the Microsoft Teams entry. Next, click the circle-like button to expand the information, and click the Remove button.

Now, you need to confirm the change by clicking the Yes button in the popup window.

After doing it, close the Microsoft Teams entirely and re-open it to sign back in. From now onwards, you should not get any problem to use Microsoft Teams on your PC.

2] Switch your internet connection

It is another solution that helped some people to get rid of this error message. Microsoft Teams looks for the credentials whenever you try to open the app for the first time after turning on your computer. To verify the credentials, it requires a valid internet connection. If your PC is not connected to an internet connection or the existing internet connection is not stable, there is a high chance of getting the error.

Therefore, it would be better if you can switch your internet connection and check if you can open Microsoft Teams or not.

If either of them doesn't help, you should check if the Microsoft service is down or not. In that eventuality, the problem should not stay for a very long period.
