How To Quickly Select An Entire Sentence In Office Word

Microsoft Office Word is the most popular word processing software out there. Like other software from Microsoft, it offers hundreds of keyboard shortcuts to help users to get their job done quickly.

While working on a document with Word program, you might want to delete an entire sentence. How do you do that? You will select the entire sentence using the mouse and then hit the delete key, right?

Most computer users use the mouse to select an entire sentence in Office Word program. Users who prefer keyboard use Shift and arrow keys (hold down the Shift key and then press an arrow key) to select an entire sentence. Both these methods are popular among computer users, but these methods don't let you select an entire sentence quickly, especially when you have a long sentence.

There is a better way to select an entire sentence in Word program quickly. The method requires you to use both keyboard and mouse but does the job very quickly.

Select an entire sentence in Office Word quickly

We accidentally discovered this handy trick while working with Office Word 365/2016 and not sure if the same keyboard shortcut will work in Word 2013, 2010 and earlier versions but it should work. We are also not sure if the same thing is possible on Mac.

Please let us if this useful method works in Office 2013 and earlier versions.
