Remove multiple Windows Store apps in Windows 8 at the same time using Powershell

All of us are familiar with the simple procedure involved when we want to uninstall or remove Modern Apps in Windows 8. In Windows 8, you can remove a single Windows Store app by right-clicking the tile in the Start menu and choosing the uninstall command.  That is, we need to uninstall them one at a time.

No command is provided for removing multiple Windows Store apps all at once. But what do we do when we need to involve many apps and therefore want to uninstall multiple Windows Store apps at the same time?

Remove multiple Windows Store apps using Powershell

Use a Powershell script to automate the job for you!

You don't need to know scripting. Simply use a ready-to-use script from Microsoft to do the job for you. The script can be used to remove multiple Windows Store apps from a user account in Windows 8. It provides a list of installed Windows Store apps. You can then specify the application IDs, and remove them all at once.

Head over to the TechNet Gallery to download the script and read more about the process involved.

Tomorrow, we will see how to uninstall and completely erase all Pre-Installed Modern Apps from Windows 8.

UPDATE: Windows 8.1 lets you uninstall multiple Windows Store apps at once, with ease!
