The Earth Hour is here… want an Earth Start Button and Wallpaper for your Windows 7?

Once again, at 8:30 PM on Saturday 26th March 2011, lights will switch off around the globe for Earth Hour and people will commit to actions that go beyond the hour.

Created by World Wildlife Fund, Earth Hour asks people to participate and demonstrate their concern about global climate change with a simple gesture of turning off all non-essential lights and electronics for 1 hour!

To help support this event, TWC Author Lee Whittington has created and made available for download an Earth Hour Windows 7 start button. Replace the default Windows 7 start button with it, if you'd like to! You can download this start button by clicking here.

You can easily replace the default start orb with this Earth start orb, using our popular freeware Windows 7 Start Button Changer. Make sure you create a restore point first and then run the tool as an Administrator.

If you want, you can also check out and download these fine Earth wallpapers for your Windows desktop.

Last year, the Bing home page had gone dark in support of the Earth Hour. We hope Microsoft and others too show their support in their own way!
